Pottery Camp

This week I am taking a pottery class. I really like it. Last week I was doing it with my friend Matt, but this week he is in a different class. This week I don’t know many people, but I am finding new friends. Today, I finished making a boat. It is two-masted ship. Only one sail looks like a sail. The other sail is curved at the top and so I couldn’t put a boom on it. I did put a boom on the lower part of the sail. On the ship there are a few other things. There is a bow with a figurehead. I also made a rudder and tiller and a little man steering. Today, I put it all together and painted it with slip. It still needs to be fired and glazed (and then fired again). Last week I made a few bowls on the potters wheel.
